Several USCL teams in the Northeast have, in previous seasons, called upon the services of strong players residing in Connecticut to join their team effort.
But things may be shaken up a bit in the Northeast for the eighth season as with the arrival of new team in Connecticut, the players there will have a base closer to home which should allow even more players there to take part in what will hopefully be the best season to date of the USCL. Connecticut will be managed by former Baltimore Kingfisher, NM Ian Harris and will play their matches at the Chess Club of Fairfield County. Leading the Dreadnoughts will be lead by Yale student, former New York Knight GM Robert Hess. Much has changed since Hess joined the League as a mere FM in 2006 as his current rating will certainly place him amongst the highest players in the League. With strong players and strong management, one can expect Connecticut to be a strong addition to the USCL from the start.
