Blood was flying in Week 1

Out of seven Week 1 matches we had all decisive results.

* Boston scored another point in their rivalry with the New York Knights, with Sammour-Hasbun beating back Shabalov's attack.
* The defending champs, the Dallas Destiny, went down to the San Francisco Mechanics, who won with 2006 All Star Sam Shankland on board 3 and drew the rest.
* Miami continues to turn the tide against Seattle, defeating them by a surprisingly large 3.5-0.5 score after facing similar losses in earlier seasons.
* Queens bested Philadelphia 2.5-1.5 in a hard fought match.
* New Jersey had to rely on Joel Benjamin in 2007, however this year they started out beating Baltimore 3-1, despite Joel losing to Erenburg on top board!
* Carolina scored the point for the East in the first interleague match of the season, defeating Tennessee 3-1.
* And of course, Arizona squeaked by Chicago 2.5-1.5 in our Monday Night opener.
